People walk for MDA in Sioux Falls

Dozens of people walked the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls early Saturday for the MDA Muscle Walk.

The money raised will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which helps kids and adults who suffer from the disorder.

Many walkers had personal connections with those suffering from muscular dystrophy.

Walker Judy Harvey said, "I hope they find a cure and it stops here and I hope plenty of hopes and prayers for my granddaughter."

MDA is the nation's largest health agency dedicated to funding neuromuscular research, health care services and education.
