ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota State Patrol says at least four people are dead after a car accident on Interstate 94 west of Alexandria.
The crash happened about 3:00 Monday afternoon near milepost 95.
State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske says the crash happened when a westbound vehicle went through the median and into eastbound traffic. He had limited details and was still gathering information.
State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow says the crash claimed at least four lives.
The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed after the crash, but the highway has reopened.
It's not clear if there are additional injuries.
The cause of the crash is also unclear. A photo of the crash scene shows snow was falling.
