Posted: Updated:

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - An arts program at Badlands National Park has selected a photographer and painter for its spring 2012 residencies.

Photographer Steven Donley and watercolor painter Jessica Bryant will live in park housing during their stay to creating imagery of the park during the Artist in Residency at the Badlands.

The program has a history of educational outreach.

The residencies are a result of a partnership among entities including the National Park Service, the Calhoun School in New York City, Crazy Horse School located in Wanblee, S.D., and the Badlands Natural History Association.

From March 21-27, students from the Calhoun School will work with park staff to learn more about the South Dakota badlands.
