The brand new Avera St. Luke's Therapy Center in Aberdeen is the result of years of planning and 3 million dollars of work. And with its completion the 14,000 square foot addition for outpatient rehabilitation services puts physical, occupational, speech and massage therapy in one centralized location near the Avera St. Luke's campus.

"It's really nice to be in one building. First of all it's a beautiful building and it's nice for us because before we were all spread out and patients had to go a long distance across town. We can communicate better with other therapists about what we saw in therapy and what might help in any of the therapy. It's a good community with other therapists to see each other every day and share information," Shauna Klipfel, Director of Speech Therapy at Avera St. Luke's said.

"We are excited to be in the new building. In the past we were basically treating outpatients in 3 different buildings one was a small clinic designed for therapy, the other 2 were places we made due with the space that we had. This was specially designed and constructed for outpatient therapy services ranging from infants through adulthood so that's the exciting part, "Dalita Meyer, Director of Occupational Therapy at Avera St. Luke's said.

"Even though we have an absolutely gorgeous building, we think we have a world class facility, world class equipment but the best part of the Avera St. Luke's is the therapist we have our staff. We have a lot of naturally certified specialists. We have a lot of therapists that have their doctorate degree. We just focus of giving great care and patients are set up in an environment where they want to come," Len Suel Director of Physical Therapy at Avera St. Luke's said.

They have a multi-purpose room for pediatric therapy and women's health. The new center also features computerized balance and testing treatment, driving simulation, an area for occupational and physical therapy with equipment and the warm water therapy pool.

"We can talk about brick and mortar and beautiful new buildings but the staff and the care we provide our patients is really what we focus on, "Len Suel said.

Convenience and high quality of care is what every patient is looking for and now they can find it all in one location right here at the Avera St. Luke's Therapy Center.
