It's a sea of pink and white as thousands of walkers and runners fill the streets of southeast Sioux Falls!
It was the 24th Annual Avera Race Against Breast Cancer, fundraising for a cure.
Nearly 6,500 people were registered in one of the four events, Saturday morning. There was a 1.5 and 3 mile walk, 5 and 10K run. They all kicked off about 8:00 a.m.
"You almost can't describe it. It means so much to have all the family here. The race for the cure. All the research that goes into it. The medical field, the focus they have on it is tremendous," Survivor and participant Nancy Kulm said.
Last year's totals were just under $400,000. This year, organizers raised the bar higher at $405,000.
