Update: Victim identified in crash near Pipestone

The Pipestone County Sheriff's Office released the identity of the man who died in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened a quarter-mile north of Pipestone. Robert Lanam, of Bruce, SD, was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson FXST southbound on 80^th Avenue when he came over a hill and struck a raccoon.

According to the Pipestone County Sheriff's Office, Lanam lost control and was ejected off the motorcycle. He was transported to the Pipestone County Medical Center where he died due to his injuries.
