Sioux Falls police are investigating how six to seven tons of steal were stolen from Peska Construction.
At Wednesday's briefing, Officer Sam Clemens said eight to ten I-beams and up to 25 bar joists were stolen from the company's location at 3900 West 34th Street North. Clemens said the steal was valued at $8,000 to $9,000 but one of the workers estimated the scrap-value at almost $3,000.
Clemens said the bars were cut into small pieces before they were stolen. The crime was reported Tuesday but its time frame is unclear.
