Imagine shooting a rocket, blasting a potato cork, and catapulting a bouncy ball - outdoors, of course.
Beginning this Friday, kids of all ages will be able to awaken their appreciation for science at the Washington Pavilion's Summer Sidewalk Series.
"We're just trying to bring science outside so that we can perform extra things that we wouldn't be able to do inside," said Jamie Buswell, a floor coordinator at the Kirby Science Center.
Monday through Friday throughout the summer at 12:15 in the afternoon, children can stimulate their minds for free.
"Broaden the educational experience happening here at the Science Center. It's not just a place to play and have fun," said Buswell. "We also want to teach kids something as well."
The Summer Sidewalk Series will feature four outdoor demonstrations that will change monthly.
