Former basketball star helps special needs kids learn the game
Dozens of kids with specials needs are getting some help from a former basketball star.
Josh Mueller was a basketball player for West Central and the University of South Dakota.
He's now the assistant coach at Dakota Wesylan.
He put the event together in just 2 weeks, it was held at Brandon Valley High School Saturday.
He says it's his way to give back and teach these kids some skills.
"For me it's not a cause, to me it's reality. why can't we teach these kids how to play basketball? if we're going to have a special Olympics team, why not make it the best team in the nation?" Josh Mueller said.
Josh finished his master's degree in special education with an emphasis on autism this spring.
