The city of Viborg asks its residence to conserve water usage after its water tower nearly emptied in 24 hours.
A city official tells KSFY 123,000 gallons of water were used in the last 24 hours which is double the amount used in a normal day. The water tower holds 20 feet of water and earlier Tuesday afternoon 13 feet of the tank was full.
The city does not know what the problem is however it is ruling out a leak. While the threat of the water shortage is lower, the city is still asking people to be mindful of the amount of water they use.
