The Indoor Football League has suspended Storm head coach Kurtiss Riggs for two-games and fined the team 25-hundred dollars, for claims of overcompensation of a former player.
Storm owner Todd Tryon told me tonight it involves a third party vehicle which took the player to a school appearances.
The league is implyng that the team provided a vehcile for a player, and that's an against the rules perk. Tryon and the Storm dispute that.
Despite that, the league decided to suspend coach Riggs. Tryon says he had nothing to with the situation. Riggs is out for the first two rounds of the playoffs. Round one is tomorrow night when Sioux Falls hosts Lehigh Valley.
Riggs is certainly the most successful head coach in the IFL. He's in his tenth season with the Storm, and has lead the team to five championships.
