A B-27 bomber plane which was used in World War II is in Sioux Falls.
The flight crew is from Arizona. Every summer they travel around the U.S. to give people a ride in the plane. This summer they're in Sioux Falls. Next they are headed out to the Rocky Mountains.
We talked to a World War II veteran from Sioux Falls who used to fly these planes but hasn't been in one since 1945.
"They were great airplanes to fly. A lot of fun. I enjoyed it when I was doing it and I sometimes wish I could fly," Warren Bastiam said.
"I want them to appreciate is what our WWII vets did to put up with conditions of these airplanes which aren't anything modern at all, not sound proof, not comfortable," Dennis Fennessey said.
People who wanted the chance to get inside the plane flew over some local landmarks and lakes Sunday. It was a half-hour ride in the air.
