Sioux Falls police are searching for a man suspected in an armed bank robbery at Great Western Bank Monday morning.
Police describe the suspected bank robber as a black man in his mid-20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 145 pounds.
The man is suspected of robbing Great Western Bank with a hand gun on North Sycamore Avenue in Sioux Falls. Police spokesman Sam Clemens says the man approached an employee outside the entrance of the Great Western Bank about 7:30 a.m. Clemens says the man demanded money and ran away with an undetermined amount of cash. The employee was not hurt.
Police are knocking on doors to search the nearby neighborhood. Police are also using a K9 unit to find a scent of the suspect.
