Their smiles say it all. With the sun bearing down, the kiddie pool at McKennan Park is the perfect place.
"We had never been to McKennan Park before so we though we would come and see what it's like. Easton is loving it except for it's break time," said Harrisburg's Tasha Davis.
Kathy Peterson is visiting her grandkids from Utah. She has a great formula for beating the heat: crochet needles, some yarn, and a tree.
"Sitting in the shade," said Peterson.
While it's hot in Utah, it's the humidity Peterson says is the challenge. She and her husband, Larry, feel it every time they visit South Dakota.
"Every year when we come to Sioux Falls."
As for Davis, a native, "I'm pretty used to it. South Dakota weather changes daily."
Water, sun screen, a hat, and some shade are the winning equation for staying cool as the temperatures climb.
