We heard for the first from former University of Sioux Falls Athletic Director Willie Sanchez who resigned from that position this past weekend. Sanchez officially resigned in May
Sanchez was USF's AD for 10-years leading the program from NAIA to Division II.
He played a huge role in the development of the Cougars athletic complex and new football stadium.
He says the stress of the job forced him to step away.
"When I go to a volleyball game and softball game and we're not winning, I'm sitting there and I go home and take it out on my wife," Sanchez said. "What the heck can I do to make them better. When you cannot deal with the winning and losing aspect of it it's time to get out."
Sanchez will stay on as the school's Athletic Director until July 31st.
Cougars assistant AD Kevin Hesser will be the interim Athletic Director until a replacement is hired.
