A pair of West Lyon alums returned home today for a special appearance at the place where it all started.
Detroit Lions defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and Iowa Hawkeye assistant coach Levar Woods were back in Inwood, IA today to take part in the 16th annual Inwood-West Lyon football camp. It was held at the high school football facility.
The pair of famous alums, took part in drills, did some coaching and signed autographs for close to 100 lucky participants during the days festivities.
For Vanden Bosch, a Larchwood, IA native, is entering his third-year with the Detroit Lions. He will also get some local flavor in 2012, with Parkson,S.D. native Riley Reiff on the squad. He's looking forward to playing with him.
"We are from the same area, have the same hobbies (hunting and fishing), and I look forward to playing with him this season," Vanden Bosch said.
