4th of July events around town

If you're looking for what to do on this year's 4th of July holiday - the Sioux Falls Mayor is holding his family picnic and parade!

The parade starts Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Sioux Falls.

It will travel down Phillips Avenue and end at Falls Park. After the parade, there will be several bands playing. The event runs until 2:30 p.m.

The Sioux Falls Jaycees will host their fireworks display at the W. H. Lyons Fairgrounds.

It starts at 5:00 p.m. with family entertainment. Fireworks start at dusk. The event is free.
