MADISON, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Board of Regents is making it easier to transfer credits from the state's technical schools to a popular health sciences degree at The University of South Dakota.
Students completing the associate of applied science degree in medical office professional at Mitchell Technical Institute and a similar degree in allied health at Southeast Technical Institute can now apply their credits toward the USD degree.
Regents executive director Jack Warner says the agreements accommodate the varying needs of our students, while recognizing the complementary nature of the programs.
The change brings the number of credit-transfer agreements in the state to 259
