WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) - Authorities say a man died at Lake Kampeska in northeastern South Dakota over the Fourth of July.
Officers with the Game, Fish, and Parks Department say Harvey Seidell, 41, of Watertown, dove out of a boat to swim and hit his head about 7 p.m. Wednesday. The incident happened 100 yards off shore in an area where a sandbar creates shallow areas.
Officials say the water Seidell dove into was about 2 1/2 feet deep.
