PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A new state website allows residents to find health inspection scores for thousands of restaurants, lodging and campground establishments.
Inspection reports are public record already, but the new website makes it easier for people living in South Dakota or visiting the state to see how a particular establishment is doing.
There are nearly 6,000 establishments listed on the site. People can search by name, location or facility type to find the four latest inspection scores as well as information about whether violations were critical or non-critical. The site will expand next year to include full inspection reports and scores.
