Man dies in fatal motorcycle crash in Brown County

A Houghton man is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash on South Dakota Highway 10 in Brown County on July 4.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office says Gregory Freeland, 60, was riding a Yamaha V-Star motorcycle westbound on Highway 10 near mile marker 301. The Brown County Sheriff's Office says Freeland's motorcycle entered the north ditch and rolled several times before he was thrown from the motorcycle. Freeland was not wearing a helmet.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
