Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether is discussing City revisions concerning the possession of firearms by citizens on City property on Wednesday.
According to a news release from the Sioux Falls Mayor's Office, the upcoming change is in conjunction with a yearlong evaluation of all ordinances and executive orders of the City.
Mayor Mike Huether says the change marks just one of many changes citizens will see as Sioux Falls continues an extensive evaluation of its ordinances and executive orders.
"City government needs to conform to the law of the land just like our people do," Mayor Huether said in a news release.
Mayor Mike Huether, along with Police Chief Doug Barthel and City Attorney Dave Pfeifle, are discussing forthcoming revisions to the executive order.
The press conference is happening Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the First Floor Commission Room of City hall.
