A statue of South Dakota Governor Bill Janklow is being added to the new Trail of Governors in Pierre.
Sioux Falls attorney Russell Janklow, the former governor's son, says his father's friends and family have raised donations to fund the placement of a life-size bronze statue of Bill Janklow.
The first three governor statues were unveiled on June 14 at the Capitol: Governors Arthur Mellette, Harlan Bushfield, and Walter Dale Miller.
The Trail of Governors Foundation plans to create statues of all the state's governors. Private donations are funding all the statues of the governors, which are being created by South Dakota sculptors.
