17th annual Hot Harley Nights this weekend

Posted: Updated:

The 17th annual Hot Harley Nights runs this week July 13th through the 15th. This is a big annual event for Sioux Falls which supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of South Dakota. Over the years this event has raised over $1.5 million dollars for Make-A-Wish, a program that helps children with life threatening diseases experience a wish of a lifetime.

Hot Harley Nights features all types of different activities you can be a part of. The event includes, a casino run, motorcycle parade, live music, raffles, bike show, silent auction, great food and an outdoor party at Falls Park West.

This event started back in 1996 and it has grown into one of the biggest events of the year for Sioux Falls. The first year, 250 people participated in the casino run. The "party" was held in a small downtown parking lot and $3200 was raised for the cause. Since that first year, Hot Harley Nights has grown into a three-day event that draws people from all over the United States and Canada. Over $1.5 million dollars has been raised, and hundreds of wishes have been granted to children with life threatening diseases.
