More than 200 bikers from around the region showed up to support people with diabetes.
It was the first ever American Diabetes Associations Tour De Cure.
the bikers were joining the 50,000 others around the country to fight diabetes.
We talked to some people participating in today's event and said they know many people with the disease and they came to support them.
"I think it shows big support for your friends and family and what they need and it's important to us that we help people close to us and it means a big deal to them," Jonah Snyder said.
the ride started at the Sanford Center on east 60th Street.
The Tour De Cure was designed for anyone from the occasional to the experienced cyclist.
Bikers had the option of riding 8, 25 or 50 miles today.
All the money raised will help find a cure for diabetes.
