Sioux Falls police investigate leads in Tuesday's bank robbery

Sioux Falls police are investigation numerous tips about possible suspect in Tuesday's bank robbery at First Premier Bank.

Detective Dave Millette says investigators are looking into numerous leads and there are people of interest.

At about 2 p.m. Tuesday a white female entered First Premier Bank on 41st Street and Kiwanis Ave. saying she had a bomb. Clemens said after receiving the money she demanded the suspect quickly ran away.

Clemens said initial reports claimed the woman left in a car, but Clemens said they are not sure if that is true. He said there are no other leads at this point.

Officer Sam Clemens said crews are investigating whether the woman actually had a bomb.

Officer Sam Clemens said they are looking for a white female in her late 30s to early 40s. She is described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160-180 lbs. She has dark colored hair described as having tight curls and she had a pulled back pony tail at the time of the crime. Clemens said the woman was wearing a dark colored shirt that had white letters with the word "Nike" on it and the number "72" on the side.
