SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - An official at South Dakota State University will be taking to the air in a vintage World War II-era B-25 aircraft on Thursday at the Sioux Falls Airshow.
Jim Doolittle, SDSU's associate vice president for research, will take to the air at 7 p.m. Doolittle's flight is noteworthy because his relative, Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle, is famous for leading the Doolittle Raid in a similar aircraft over Japan in 1942.
Jim Doolittle is taking to the air as part of the two-day annual airshow as a sponsor representative. .
