Sioux Falls Events Center construction set to start Monday

Construction of the new Sioux Falls events center is set to start Monday July 23.

According to a news release from the Sioux Falls Department of Public Works, Mortensen Construction will begin securing the Events Center construction site Monday. Citizens should notice construction fence going up and other site preparation work beginning the week of July 23.

According to the Department of Public Works, Mortensen Construction is providing quarterly updates on current and near-term construction activity.

An official groundbreaking ceremony is set to happen in late August.
