SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A woman accused of using a bomb threat to rob a Sioux Falls bank says she'd been kidnapped and forced to commit the crime.
But police say her story doesn't match the evidence.
Michelle Bock, 39, was charged Thursday in federal court with bank robbery. The Argus Leader reports the Bock says two men kidnapped her, strapped a bomb to her chest and forced her to walk into the First Premier Bank with a note that read, "This is a robbery."
The Sioux City, Iowa, woman got away with $14,000. She tells police the men took the money, but officials say she deposited nearly $3,000 into her personal bank account after the robbery. Officials say she didn't report being kidnapped until later.
A public defender was not available for comment.
