Families who wanted to beat the traffic did so by finding a spot in another part of the city.
Some went out to J and L Harley Davidson in Sioux Falls.
Hundreds of people grabbed their lawn chairs and watched the show from the road or maybe out in a field.
Many people also went to P and M Steel in Sioux Falls.
We talked to many people out there Saturday who say it is nice when you don't have to wait for a bus or find parking.
'You can leave whenever you want. You don't have to deal with the crowds. I like the view out here better and I got to see a little more of it rather than looking straight up all the time," Craig Bowman said.
Others told us when you have little kids getting in and out and leaving whenever they want is very important to them.
