Two overnight Sioux Falls robberies

Posted: Updated:

Sioux Falls police are investigating two overnight robberies that happened within 20 minutes of each other.

Police were first called to the Get N Go located at 2217 East 10th street around 1:35 Tuesday morning. Police say a man walked into the gas station with a dark gray semi-automatic handgun. He demanded cash and once he got it he took off running from the store to the south. This gas station has been hit before. There was an armed robbery at this station a little over a month ago.

About 20 minutes later, police were called to the Super America located at 2911 West 41st Street for another robbery. According to Map Quest this is only about 6 miles from the first robbery. Police say they believe the same suspect walked into the Super America again with a hand gun, and took off with some cash. No one was hurt and both robberies are under investigation.

Police are looking for a Native American man about 5'10", 170 pounds wearing a striped polo shirt with dark blue and light blue stripes. He was also wearing dark blue shorts, a dark blue bandana over his face, and a New York Yankees hat.

If you have any information you are asked to call police.
