Police identify bodies found at Roosevelt Park in Rapid City - KSFY News - Sioux Falls, SD News, Weather, Sports

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Authorities in Rapid City have identified the bodies of two men found in Roosevelt Park.

Authorities responded Saturday to a body floating in a park pond. Emergency personnel leaving the scene came upon the body of a second man near a parking lot.

The man in the park's pond was identified as Eldred Red Fox, 43, of Rapid City. Authorities say initial autopsy results are consistent with a drowning.

Investigators identified the second man as Matthew Standing Crow, 25, of Rapid City. An initial autopsy found that he died by suicide by hanging,

Toxicology results are pending on both men.

Police says the deaths appear to be unrelated and no foul play is suspected.
