SIOUX FALLS –The Sioux Falls Pheasants have signed right-handed pitcher Barry Fowler and released infielder Max Casper, Pheasants manager Steve Shirley announced on Tuesday.
Fowler, 36, returns to Sioux Falls for a second straight season. He began 2011 with the Winnipeg Goldeyes and joined the Pheasants mid-season. With Sioux Falls, he went 5-6 with a 4.82 ERA in 10 starts and 12 appearances.

Casper was 3-for-27 in 12 games with the Pheasants.
The Pheasants begin a six-game road trip with the opener of a three-game series against Fargo-Moorhead at 7:02 p.m. tonight in Fargo, N.D. All games are broadcast on Sioux Falls Sports Radio 1230-AM KWSN and www.kwsn.com.
