The Sioux Falls Food Pantry thanks the community for giving it the means to stock its shelves with water.
Earlier in July, as temperatures increased, a drought hit the Sioux Falls Food Pantry. On July 12, Feeding South Dakota issued a plea for drinking water to stock the shelves at the food pantry.
According to the Sioux Falls Food Pantry, numerous businesses and individuals answered the call to donate 221 cases of water. Many people and businesses also provided cash donations amounting in $2,640—which will be used to purchase approximately 900 more cases of water.
