The Incident Management Team in southwest South Dakota says the Myrtle Fire is 100 percent contained.
The Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team says resources and crews that are no longer needed are being demobilized and released to other incidents. Crews will continue to focus on mop-up and patrol, as well as rehabilitation. Also, Black Hills Electric will begin replacing power lines that were damaged by the fire.
According to a release by the Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team, Wednesday night's rain and cooler temperatures forecast for the next several days will help aid the clean up and rehabilitations processes.
A Burned Area Emergency Response team from the Black Hills National Forest will begin assessments of the fire area to determine the post –wildfire impacts and identify the most effective rehabilitation treatments.
