More charges have been made against a former Sioux Falls Storm football player accused of sexual exploitation of a minor at the city's Juvenile Detention Center.
Lorenzo Frank Brown Jr., 24, was arrested on June 29 for on one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of contributing to abuse, neglect or delinquency of a child.
Brown was in court for his arraignment in Minnehaha County Court Thursday morning, where seven more charges were added.
Judge Kathleen Caldwell read the court Brown's indictment which now includes six counts of possessing child pornography and one count of sexual acts between jail staff and detainee.
The child pornography charges are Class IV felonies and carry a maximum sentence of 10 years at the state penitentiary.
The charge of sexual acts between jail staff and detainees is punishable by two years in the state penitentiary.
Judge Caldwell said if Brown is convicted on any of these charges the sentences could run consecutively, meaning the maximum penalty is 64 years behind bars.
According to the indictment the incidences between Brown and the underage JDC detainee happened sometime between May 1 and June 13 of this year.
Neither Brown nor his attorney wanted to comment.
