A judge has raised bond to $100,000 for the man accused of causing a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Sioux Falls.
Brent O'Neal, 21, now faces 1st and 2nd Degree Manslaughter charges for allegedly causing the crash that killed motorcyclist Philip Sorensen, 33, of Sioux Falls. O'Neal appeared in court Friday afternoon to face the new charges. At the appearance the judge also increased O'Neal's bond to $100,000 due to the severity of the charges.
According to the Minnehaha County State's Attorney's Office, 1st Degree Manslaughter is a Class C felony, punishable with up to life in prison, and 2nd Degree Manslaughter is a Class 4 felony, punishable with up to 10 years in prison.
