UPDATE: Young Girl Dies After Being Found at the Bottom of the Pool

The young girl who was found at the bottom of the Rock Rapids pool has passed away.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office put out a release saying the 11 year-old passed away at the hospital.

It was Wednesday night when bystanders and lifeguards pulled the young girl out of the water. She was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital for treatment.

The victim's name is not being released at this time. More details may be released soon.

No cause of the death has been determined, but the victim did have a "preexisting medical condition" that could have been a factor.
