Update: Wagner couple charged in toddler's death faces more charges

The Wagner couple accused of not telling police about the death of toddler have now been indicted on charges of child abuse and possession of meth.

Taylor Cournoyer, 21, and Laurie Cournoyer, 28, are each facing five counts of felony child abuse related to five children. The two were indicted on the charges on Monday. They were also indicted for possession of methamphetamine.

The Cournoyers were both facing one count of felony abuse or cruelty to a minor and failure to notify law enforcement to the death of child.

The Cournoyers were taking care of RieLee Lovell, 2, who died in the early morning of July 3. However, Lovell's body was not found until July 4. Charles Mix County deputies took Lovell's 11-year-old cousin was taken into custody for the death. The boy has been charged, but no other details are being released because the defendant is a juvenile.

Along with the child abuse and meth charges, the Cournoyers are each charged with failure to notify law enforcement to the death of child and possession of marijuana.

The Cournoyers will appear at an arraignment hearing on August 13.
