Michael Schoolcraft of Englewood, Colo., won the U.S. Amateur qualifier Monday at Bakker Crossing Golf Course in Sioux Falls.
Schoolcraft, who will be a junior at Oklahoma University this fall, shot rounds of 70 and 71 to finish at 1-under-par 141 to earn a berth in the U.S. Amateur Championship on August 13-18 at Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver.
Max Donohue of Sioux Falls, who will be a junior at O'Gorman this fall, was second at 143. Matt Weeks of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Dillon Schultz of Springfield, Minn., were third at 145.
