The Sioux Falls Health Department plans to spray for mosquitoes Wednesday evening in response to increased numbers of mosquito populations.
The City is spraying in Sioux Falls Zones 7, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 are scheduled for spraying between the hours of 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., as weather permits.
According to a news release from the city, the spray—Zenviex E20—is designed to break down in the environment quickly and is used at a very low concentration. Zenviex E20 is a product approved for use by the Environmental Protection Agency in residential areas for adult mosquito control.
