U.S. Representative Kristi Noem and challenger Matt Varilek are set to debate South Dakota agricultural issues at DakotaFest in Mitchell.

The debate will focus specifically on South Dakota Agricultural issues.

"These are critical times in agriculture and we look forward to bringing the candidates together to discuss the issues that are important to South Dakota farmers and ranchers," said Lisa Richardson, the SDCGA's executive director.

The debate is organized by the South Dakota Corn Growers Association and South Dakota State University. It is happening in Mitchell August 22 at 2 p.m. at the SDSU Pavilion in the northwest corner of the grounds.
