A Wisconsin woman is dead and her husband is battling life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle crash in the Black Hills.
Marcia Rowin, 61, was a passenger on the motorcycle driven by her husband Steven, 61. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the Rowins were traveling south when two deer crossed the roadway. Steven lost control and the motorcycle skidded into the west ditch, according to a Department of Public Safety news release.
The two were taken to a Sturgis hospital and later transferred to a Rapid City hospital, where Marcia died of her injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
