A group is headed out to Sturgis, but for them its not all about the bikes.
They're taking a sculpture on a nationwide tour to raise awareness about our veterans.
One member we talked with says some vets helped him during some rough times and so in turn he wants to help others and show how grateful he is for their help.
He talked about the meaning of the piece.
"It pays honor to a lot of people, all the fallen soldiers, families just a honor. This is the second one of a series, the first one is in a war museum in Sandusky, Ohio," Steve Gore said.
The sculpture is just one piece of wood, carved with a chain saw and then used hand tools to get all the fine details you see, it took 600 hours by hand.
The group is also taking donations for the wounded warrior project.
