Sunday was the official start of farmer's market week.
South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard made the announcement since our state is dealing with a drought.
A farmer's market was held out at the Grand Falls Casino.
Local ag officials are encourage everyone to buy local produce from our farmers.
We talked to some vendors out at this farmers market today and say business is good.
"It's nice because a busy highway and next to the casino so some people come for breakfast and lunch and they can see us right from the road and stop by," Alex Rozeboom said.
"This one had the arts with it and each time seems like new vendors," Phyllis Cornell said.
Ag officials say supporting local farmers markets puts money in the pockets of locals and helps strengthen communities.
