Nebraska man drowns in Missouri River

A man has drowned in the Missouri River.

Justin Lineberry, 45, of rural Maskell, Nebraska was riding a horse on a sandbar west of the Newcastle/Vermillion bridge Sunday.

He was riding in shallow water when the depth changed drastically from a few inches to around eight feet.

The Yankton search and rescue dive team was called out and helped fire rescue teams from Newcastle, Ponca and Vermillion recover the body.
