Sioux Falls Police want you to watch for graffiti

Posted: Updated:

Sioux Falls Police say they have been responding to reports of graffiti all over the city which is typical they say during the Summer. However between July 31st and August 2nd Sioux Falls Police say nine different calls of graffiti came in from one area. They say homes, businesses, business signs, and even a few RVs were hit. This all happened during the night in an area near 41st Street and Terry Avenue in Sioux Falls. Again police say they always see graffiti increase in the Summer however this incident was a little unique because so many different places were targeted all within a relatively small area.

We asked Sioux Falls Police if this graffiti could be gang related and they said it's possible some of it could be based on some similarities in the graffiti but it's still too soon to tell.

Since last week Sioux Falls Police say they haven't seen any new graffiti in the area of 41st and Terry Avenue however they have still seen new graffiti in other parts of town.

Sioux Falls Police say they need you to keep your eyes open and if you see anything suspicious you should call police.
