Train, car crash south of Harrisburg, car driver suffers minor injuries
Emergency crews in Lincoln County responded to a crash between a train and a car near Harrisburg Tuesday morning.
It happened shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday at the railroad crossing along 274th Street south of Harrisburg. Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Carlson says a teenage girl was driving westbound and did not see the train before the two collided.
An ambulance arrived to the scene. The girl suffered only minor injuries.
Deputy Carlson says this is the second train and car accident he has seen in his seven years on the force.
