Update: Missing nursing home patient found in White Lake

A missing nursing home patient from White Lake was found Tuesday morning.

Aurora County Sheriff David Fink says Jim Bass, 78, went missing at about 5 a.m. Tuesday. Bass was found at about 9:45 a.m. Kimball Police Chief Frank Scott says Bass was found in a field on the edge of White Lake.

Scott says the field was south of Aurora Brule Nursing home where Bass was living.

The Aurora County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a missing man from a nursing home in White Lake.

The Aurora County Sheriff's Office is looking for Jim Bass, 78, who was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue flannel pants and socks. Bass is 6 feet 2 inches tall and 154 pounds with a think build and gray hair.

Bass is a cancer patient living at the Aurora Brule Nursing Home in White Lake. The sheriff's office says Jim is on pain medication for his cancer symptoms.

The Aurora County Sheriff says people should call 911 if any contact is made with Bass.
