Update: Seatbelt saves woman from being thrown in morning rollover accident

The Splitrock Volunteer Fire Department is investigating what caused a one-vehicle rollover accident Wednesday morning.

A person at the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum heard the crash and called it in. Crews arrived to find a woman in the car. The Fire Chief said the woman was alert and wearing a seatbelt.

The Fire Chief told KSFY News if the woman had not been wearing a seatbelt she probably would have been thrown from the car.

At this time crews do not know what caused the woman's car to leave the road. Stay with KSFY News for any updates.
